Gunsmith (full-time)

We are currently looking for an experienced Gunsmith to join our busy team based in Stockport.

You will fix, repair, modify, design, service, and rebuild all types of firearms, including air rifles. You must have an in-depth knowledge of guns and are able to repair defects, prevent failures, and to ensure that every gun you touch works and functions safely.

You will be self-motivated, autonomous and have an eye for detail and exhibit safe working practices.

You will have some experience working with machine tools such as lathes, millers and drill presses to achieve the highest quality results, as well as knowledge of working with hand tools (such as file fitting parts). In-depth training can be provided subject to experience.

Your duties will include:

Digital Marketing & Website Assistant (full-time)
Stockport

We are a friendly family run business with an extremely busy workload, and we are looking for a team member to join us in our IT and marketing department on a full-time basis.

As a Digital Marketing & Website Assistant you will be responsible for creating content & interacting with our online presence, as well as assisting our website manager on SEO and general maintenance of the website.

Your duties will include:

  • Creating and scheduling Online Content to post daily to our social media channels (primarily Instagram and Facebook) and interacting with any enquiries,
  • Planning and designing promotions for both the website and in-store, i.e web banners, posters and price booklets,
  • Writing weekly newsletters (via Mailchimp) and blog posts for the website,
  • Photographing all pre-owned products and ensuring all new products pictures are edited to a uniformed standard,
  • General Website Maintenance (Magento platform), adding products, writing descriptions, and ensuring up to date SEO,
  • Monitoring Google Analytics and Website Engagement,
  • Assisting with any additional responsibilities as assigned by IT staff.

The candidate must have:

  • Have a good understanding of SEO and keep up to date with the latest updates,
  • Maintain a relevant and current understanding of social media trends and platform capabilities,
  • Have a good working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Premier Pro, Illustrator), and Microsoft Office
  • Be extremely computer literate and have a fantastic and engaging writing ability,
  • Know how to work a DLSR Camera.

Export Assistant (full-time)
Stockport

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an exports assistant to join our busy team in Stockport, assisting within our exports department, mail order and sales team working for one of the leading gun shops in the North West.

Your duties will include:

  • Applying for licenses.
  • Preparing the necessary documentation for a lawful execution of all export and import activities.
  • Liaising with customers overseas.
  • Carry out high levels of customer service via email and phone, and maintaining good client relationships, dealing with general enquiries and problem solving.
  • Tracking shipments and updating customers at all stages of the exports process.
  • Invoicing and general administrative jobs.
  • Package up orders as they come through to the website, ensuring that the correct additional postal information is added to appropriate parcels.

Ideal Candidate:

  • An extremely organised individual, with excellent time management skills and the ability to multi task.
  • Strong IT Skills and experience in the full Microsoft Office Suite.
  • An excellent telephone manner, with experience of engaging with customers.
  • Ability to work under pressure, self-motivated, and have the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
  • An interest in the Firearm industry is preferred but not essential.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role is favoured, salary will be negotiable dependent on experience. Benefits include a bonus scheme, employee discount and pension scheme.
